It has been awhile since my last blog, life threw me some curves, but I am back and ready to go! I've decided to join the 100 Day Project this year to help me with my daily painting practice. My goal is to spend the next 100 days showing up for at least 15 minutes to work in my sketchbook. The subject of what I paint will be varied and I am giving myself full permission to have fun, play, experiment, and thumb my nose at perfection!
I decided to start working with Daniel Smith's Mineral Marvel Watercolor dot sample pack that I have had sitting around since November. I painted some loose hearts allowing them to touch so that I could see how they blended and mixed together. I particularly love how the Bloodstone Genuine granulated. Such a fun and relaxing way to explore what new watercolors can do. Oh,
the magic!
