I had a lot of fun creating these fishy friends! I am really enjoying Daniel Smith's Mineral Marvel Dot Samples. The colors are beautiful, unique, and even have some sparkle! It is a bit different working with the glimmer.
I was more intentional with it and supervised how it dried so as to get a nice uniform distribution, which I preferred for this subject. I really appreciate how each sample card has a theme and information on the back detailing each mineral, pigment characteristics, and even the geographical location from where it was sourced. For example, the shimmery green (Fuchsite Genuine) is from Brazil and is made from pure Fuchsite. It is transparent and great for layering. I adore it.
