Unsuspecting

Today started with a lovely breakfast and coffee with my sweet husband. Panera provided us with delicious hot coffee, spinach and bacon soufflé's, and an unsuspecting model for my daily painting practice. I thank you sir.

I almost gave up on this one, but perseverance and the encouragement of my husband won out in the end. Though my subject was seated nearby, I worked from the photo so as not to arouse suspicion. I enjoyed observing the light and shadow in this scene. There were lots of interesting lines as well. I think people make the most interesting and challenging subjects. I appreciate the differences that make us all unique and count it a bonus when I get to paint the beauty of a person.
